We are now into the first few weeks of the new TeamSports 24:7 launch and we are thankful for all the support we are getting from a number of sports clubs across the country.
We have welcomed Netball, Hockey, Basketball and even a London-based Gaelic football team to TeamSports 24:7 and its great to see such a wide range of sports clubs using the site.
The teamsports 24:7 team is really looking forward to the weekend when the Lions kick off what is set to be an awesome summer of sport! Having so narrowly missed out last week we look forward to the bulk of Simon Shaw, Adam Jones and Matthew Rees to add some steel to the pack, as well as extra beef on the bench in the form of Sheridan, Alun Wyn Jones and Ross Ford. Loftus Versfeld will be a battle…
Then we are in to the final week of wimbledon, the third and final test of the 2009 Lions series and then the start of the Ashes! If England U21 football team can also reach the final of the Euro Championships this week then sport will dominate the papers for all the right reasons in the very near future!
Now that summer has finally arrived we hope everyone on TeamSports 24:7 has the chance to get outside and make the most of it…watching sport is fantastic, but playing is magical!

Great News!
We launched the next release of TeamSports 24:7 today and have provided a whole range of new features for Team Managers, Players and Fans.
We listened to the feedback from the community in the last few weeks and have made some changes to provide you with all the tools required to manage your team online.
Key new features include:
- create and manage leagues
- include links to official league website
- privacy tools and controls
- enhancements to the media gallery
- Twitter feed updates
- RSS news feed aggregator for team profile pages
- player and team stats
- seasons and history
- age groups
Added to all the new functionality above is a feature for School, University abd Club teams that allows managers to create multiple teams from the same institution - now for the first time you and all your friends from school and Uni can manage their team in the same place.
We hope you will keep giving us feedback so that we can continue to improve TeamSports 24:7 and make it the number one destination for grass-roots sports teams on the internet.

Following the release of the beta version of TeamSports 24:7 we are developing a range of new features to improve the experience for team organisers, managers and players.
We do not want to develop these features in isolation and we hope that you will be able to provide us with some feedback either via comments to this blog, on twitter, or by sending us an email to info@teamsports247.com
The features we are building include:
- Ability to define home and away fixtures
- League, Cup and Friendly games
- Ability to set create a ‘league’ for your team and define all regular opponents
- All fixtures split into seasons with start and end dates set by the team organiser
- Privacy controls
- Better administration of your team and user profile including enhanced media features
This is the first of a series of releases we have planned for this year that we hope will make TeamSports 24:7 a great platform for managing grass roots sports and sharing sports experiences with team mates, parents and fans.
We look forward to your comments.
